Evidence & Compliance

Project Documentation On Request

Agree execution class, welding evidence, traceability and 3.1 material certificates with the selected fabricator. For projects requiring EN 1090-2 EXC3, verify the evidence scope before award.

Intermodal Transit Nodes

Direct Supply Chain

Compare sea routes via Rijeka or Koper with road options. Confirm routing, cargo dimensions, permits and delivery timing with the carrier for each project.

CERT-01How does Steel-Hub support EN 1090 EXC3 documentation for the DACH market?
For load-bearing DACH projects, we support project-specific quality and traceability packages and request current EN 1090-2 EXC3, welding, and material evidence from the relevant fabrication partners. Buyers should verify certificate scope, issuer, and validity before award.
CBAM-02What is CBAM and how does it affect my procurement of heavy structures in the EU?
The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is the EU system for carbon pricing on certain non-EU imports, including iron and steel. EU-based sourcing can reduce CBAM import exposure, but buyers should verify origin, CN classification, embedded-emissions data, and project-specific obligations.
LOG-03Which logistics routes serve deliveries to Scandinavia and Western Europe?
The A5 / Pan-European Corridor Vc (Đakovo, HR) connects to the European motorway network and the seaports of Rijeka and Koper. Oversized elements such as long girders or tower sections travel as permitted heavy transport; route, permits and transit time are planned per project and confirmed with the quotation.
TECH-04What production capacity is available for telecom and power poles?
Steel-Hub coordinates certified EU fabrication partners for polygonal and lattice poles (transmission towers and telecom monopoles), including hot-dip galvanizing to EN ISO 1461. Available monthly and annual volumes depend on partner loading and are confirmed per project in the quotation – we do not publish a fixed capacity figure.
PROC-05How long does it take to create an engineering quote (RFQ) via the Terminal?
After you submit specifications (CAD, PDF) through the RFQ desk, you receive an RFQ reference immediately. We review the package, raise clarifying questions where needed and route the request confidentially to suitable certified fabrication partners. When the first estimate arrives depends on scope and on how complete the drawings are; we agree the timing with you in our first reply.
AESS-06Can you supply AESS (Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel) for the UK and Benelux?
Yes, through fabrication partners experienced in AESS work. The AESS category (1 to 4) is set per project and defines the finish of visible welds and connections; corrosion protection follows the site's corrosivity category (for example C5). Sample panels and inspection points are agreed before fabrication.
WIND-07Can the network supply offshore wind structures (North Sea)?
Offshore enquiries require a separate capability review. Send component drawings, dimensions, materials, corrosion protection and applicable project requirements. The proposed fabricator's scope, qualifications and inspection capacity must be confirmed before any delivery commitment; this page does not establish a blanket offshore approval.
AGRI-08Can you support large agrivoltaic roll-outs in Italy and Spain?
Yes. Agrivoltaic mounting structures are usually roll-formed or punched profiles in coated steel such as Magnelis® / ZM310, supplied by fabrication partners with automated profile lines. Volumes, call-off schedules and delivery to site are planned per project and confirmed in the quotation.
QA-09Which NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods are used under EN 1090-2?
The extent and methods of NDT follow EN 1090-2 for the execution class (for example EXC2 or EXC3) and the project specification. Fabrication partners perform ultrasonic (UT), penetrant (PT) and magnetic particle (MT) testing as required, and radiographic testing (RT) where it is specified for critical welds; the inspection records are part of the delivery documentation.
CE-10Do I receive a CE mark and Declaration of Performance (DoP) with the delivery?
Yes, for structural components within the scope of EN 1090-1: the certified fabrication partner issues the Declaration of Performance (DoP) and applies the CE marking, and the delivery includes traceability documentation and EN 10204 3.1 material certificates.
