For visually exposed structures, define viewing conditions, finish and connection requirements early. The procurement brief records the architect's criteria and the selected fabricator's confirmed scope.

Tree columns and tubular arches for terminal roof structures. Visible weld treatment and surface acceptance are defined by the specified AESS category and approved samples.
Commercial Atriums (Malls)
Structures for shopping centers and corporate headquarters. Implementation of "hidden bolts" and 'Flush' cover plates for a clean look.
Pedestrian Bridges
Designer pedestrian walkways and bridges relying on slender, curved steel profiles instead of heavy concrete.
Parametric Facades and Canopies
Free-form grids, facades and canopies require geometry rationalization. Tube-forming and cutting methods, tolerances and assembly interfaces are confirmed with the selected fabricator.
Parametric Geometry Coordination.
For free-form work, agree model ownership, geometry checks and fabrication deliverables. Models from tools such as Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper must be checked against the selected fabricator's forming, cutting and welding processes.

Project Evidence for Exposed Steel.
Structural conformity and visual acceptance are separate checks. Request applicable fabrication and coating evidence from the selected fabricator, and approve the required AESS samples and inspection criteria before production.
Architectural "White-Glove" Transport.
Protecting finished surfaces requires an agreed packing, lifting and delivery plan for constrained urban sites. Confirm access, handling responsibilities and inspection arrangements before dispatch.

Custom Cradles & Padding
Specify padded cradles, suitable slings and protected lifting interfaces with the fabricator and carrier. Agree packaging checks and inspection at handover, including how any coating damage will be recorded and addressed.
City-Center Logistics
For urban sites, confirm vehicle access, permits, unloading space and delivery windows with the carrier and site team. Night delivery and just-in-time unloading are options only where approved and scheduled.
